Lag pressure is a funny thing to talk about. Alot of people talk about it like its a 'specific' feeling. For some I am sure it is. For others it isnt. But your hands will in fact, in some way, 'sense' lag pressure - and at the very least, also sense overacceleration.

I personally wouldnt say its like bending the shaft. The bending of the shaft occurs due to a change in direction (swinging) or acceleration (hitting).

The BEST I can say is, lag pressure is feeling the clubhead resistance to that change in direction or acceleration via the sweetspot - hence, that
'heavy' feeling. Its basically feeling the weight of the clubhead.

But I wouldnt get all crazy searching for some 'feeling'. I once asked a GSED a few years ago how heavey lag pressure felt - his answer? Heavy. Like 20 pounds of pressure heavy. Homers answer? Light, very light. Maybe 2-3 pounds of pressure - you dont want a ton of lag pressure because you problably wont be able to sustain it.

If you can feel the clubhead, you are in the right ballpark. Or at least thats what 'THEY' tell me.

Hope this helps.

Patrick
