Despite their generally poor and often well-deserved reputation, revolutionaries perform a necessary function: They serve as the catalyst for change. For better or for worse, nothing much of consequence happens without such irreverent folk and their early adherence to a Big Idea.
Naturally, their resolute behavior and disdain of the status quo both offends and threatens those invested in the past. Should we who champion The Golfing Machine® and its revolutionary concepts expect any less from critics yoked to convention? I, for one, have long ago put away my rose-colored glasses and accept as inevitable all slings and arrows. They are a rite of passage.
Fortunately, it is a new day, one in which it is possible to simply bypass The Establishment and to deliver the message directly. For those who would repress, the Internet is a fearful thing. For those who would liberate, it is wonderful.
