Here are some things I like to track when I play golf:
Fairways hit
Greens in regulation
Number of putts
Up and Down %
Sand saves
I would like to improve in all of these categories, but what is realistic? Here is a sampling of statistics from the PGA Tour.
These were good enough to make
100th place on the Tour in each of the categories:
Driving distance 289yds (Briny Baird)
Driving accuracy 62% (Frank Lickliter)
Scoring average 71.1 (Mark Hensby)
GIR 65% (Bernhard Langer)
Putts per round 29 (Brandt Jobe)
Sand Saves 49% (John Daly)
Scrambling 58% (Billy Andrade)
Food for thought.
