Happy Anniversary, Lynn Blake Golf!
Bring on the party hats and noise makers...It's Happy Anniversary, Lynn Blake Golf!
We had a heartbeat on January 10, 2005. That was a special day because January 10, 1982, was the day I stepped off that airplane in Seattle, Washington, and came face-to-face with The Man himself, Homer Kelley.
We had internal page views happening on January 15th, but that was just among The Three Musketeers: Bagger, Trig and ol' Yoda. Along the way, we were joined by Bambam, and The Four Horsemen were complete.
Finally, on January 20th, we rolled out and welcomed you to our world. To be sure, the site was not all that much to look at. In fact, as you who have been with us from the beginning know, it was very much 'home grown' and strung together with chewing gum and bailing wire. But...
By golly...
We were up and out there!
And now, one year later, we come up for air, refresh The Forums page and see this:

And we love it!
We appreciate so much each and every one of you who have helped us each and every day along the way.
I have absolutely no idea where all this is going.
But I do know this...
We're going somewhere...
Fast!
Happy Anniversay, everybody!

Quite ExSiting
Lynn,
Congratulations on a very fine year! It was a pleasure to participate in the LBG SoCal school and this site is just a blast. I think we all merit the Chinese curse (in a good way) of living in interesting times!

Congrats, Lynn. Good job.
Once apon a time on the internet....there was Chuck Evans and David Laville...and the TGM followers on the web were in the low hundreds.
Then I, Brian Manzella, came along at golfopinions, then freegolfinfo, and the number was in the high hundreds. Then I started my site, manzellagolfforum.com (which is still the largest TGM based web forum) and it was the low 1000's
The TGM forum was a sleepy place until this yoda guy came along...THEN! the great Ball Position debate! (I still think I won), and even the TGM site had action (for once).
Lynn was posting on that TGM forum, my forum, and Chuck's forum. Chuck's place got new life when Lynn and he started talking about and doing schools together.
When Lynn and Chuck parted ways, and the TGM site was hacked into and shut down, I knew Lynn had to go out on his own. I thought—still do—it was a great idea, so in case anyone forgets—and they will:

We have had a few doozies, little green man, but with my site at near 3600 and your near 2000, I think we have sorta separated from the pack and advanced Homer's cause. Don't ya think?
Lynn, you are a good friend and fellow TGM advocate (almost said AI, oops!) and a good competitor. Ali needed Joe Frazier to make him get up in the morning and run!
Can't wait for the next debate—I still think I am undefeated — and best of luck!
Let's fight hard, but let's also make sure to kill all the TGM-haters first.

...wait I can't be Ali and Rocky too, can I?

I'll have icecream with my cake please.
Happy First Anniversary to all. That is alot of information in just one year. The fog has burnt off so much I can actually see the cake. Now blow out that one big candle with a Stationary Head.
