Deservedly So...
...just had the pleasure of a four hour lesson with Ted this past Saturday (I'll post at lenght later--still digesting the breakfast we had at Cracker Barrel) and he is by far one of the most able communicators of golf knowledge I've had the pleasure to be around.
And if you've never been to a PGA tourney and heard what a properly compressed ball sounds like, just drop by the range and listen to Ted nuke a few 7i's.
Ted, I'm crossing my digits for you. But either way, the teaching of golf is in good hands with you my friend, very good hands.

I had a great time with you, and I was very happy to see the differences that we saw on video. You have the cd, so watch it a few times. Keep me posted on the progress, and I'll be happy to do as much as I can over the phone. You know how to practice, now.

Practice Makes Perfect...
...or at least better. Had the PGA taped, watched a lot of Sergio and Ernie keep bringing that R elbow to the waist, and of course that L forearm roll over hard. I'm still digesting, but Q's will come along soon.
My thanks again Ted,
Dana

Good Luck, Ted!
Since Ted is probably too modest to post this, I will. Ted asked some of his students to email letters of recommendation for him to pass along to the selection committee. He recieved 23 letters from 11 states, Sweden, and Australia!
Just goes to show, a great teacher inspires loyalty...

Ted Fort -- 2006 Georgia PGA Teacher of the Year!
The Georgia PGA is one of the 41 Sections of the PGA of America. Its membership includes over 850 PGA professionals working at over 260 golf courses, clubs, and ranges throughout the state. Additionally, more than 20 Georgia PGA members compete on one of the PGA Tours.
But only one member is the 2006 Georgia PGA Teacher of the Year.
Guess who?
Time's up...
And the answer is...
Our own Ted Fort!
Congratulations, Ted. This is a well-deserved honor, one that I personally am extremely proud to see you receive.
You are a credit to your PGA Section...
To your students...
And to The Game.
Most of all, for those of us who are privileged to know you personally...
You are a wonderful husband, father, associate and friend.
Congratulations again, Ted Fort.
Sometimes nice guys finish first...
This is one of those times!

Great job, Ted. I enjoyed working with you and Lynn last spring. It certainly takes a talented person to not only provide excellent instruction day in and day out but also keep your game competitive and in tournament shape.
Keep up the good work!
