Hi there,
recently I started experimenting with the TGM Hitting motion, but using a 10 finger grip (Moe Norman style)
Grip of the club in the palm of the right hand with all fingers on the grip (no overlap or interlock)
This felt amazingly comfortable and "natural". This gives me a very strong/powerfull right arm feeling going into the ball.
The first part of my question: Is there any downside to doing so? (other than effectively reducing the length of my clubs by about 0.5 inch since right arm is much lower on the grip)
This brings me to the second part of the question. Using the 10 finger grip I am hitting solid shots, but to the right. Mainly straight right with a few slices every now and then when I quit on the hit and pull across my body.
Prior to starting experiementing with this grip and motion I used to hit pulls and pull hooks, hadn't hit anything right or slice for a few years. I am not sure what the correct motion is after reaching the low point for a hitting stroke. Is there a forearm swivel? Using basic motion and acquired motion I hit them straight where I want, but as soon as I attempt a full motion things start falling appart.
Any thoughts and comments would be greately appreciated.
