Another Blast from the Past
One more input from that 1961 edition of Golf Digest. I've put together a sampling of the ads from that magazine. I think it's kind of interesting to see how the themes haven't changed much in 45 years. You'll find balls that fly further, training devices to improve your swing, and books to show you how it's all done. One thing that has changed (thankfully) are the clothes:

The original 'Swing Rite' is a very good aid (still) IMO
