I was out caddying in the pro-am yesterday and the course is going to produce lower scores than usual. I've seen the rough MUCH worse in previous years. Make no mistake, you'd rather be in the fairway...but the rough is very spotty around some of the greens.
Looks like you're right on, Matt. When you hit only 3 of 13 fairways (as Corey Pavin did today) and still hit 16 greens and shoot 61 (as Corey also did today), then you know that the rough ain't quite as rough as it could be.
