In the most brutal conditions yet faced on the 2008 PGA TOUR -- high winds up to 40 mph and cold -- both Our Heroes missed the cut. Ironically,
Brian Gay and
Jay Williamson posted identical scores:
73-77=150.
The cut came at +3 (145) and 79 players were on that number. That means that the TOUR's new 54-hole cut rule comes into play, and there will be a second cut at the conclusion of today's round.
It will be interesting to get the players' reactions to this first-ever situation.
