I also notice the same pain in my right elbow when hitting. I may not be the most qualified respnder on this however I think that the reason behind this is an off plane righ forarm, which means you must throw the club to get it to the ball.
If the club is thrown, and you are trying to employ a right arm trigger, then you would end up right arm swinging. Since the club is no longer being activly driven by the right arm in a piston like fashion you are no longer actvily hitting?
