Usually on ball above feet or uphill lie, I'll set my target low-point where the ball touches the ground (or maybe very, very slightly forward of that); I don't want to take a lot of turf ... worse case, I hit it thin, not fat, and I don't dig into the ground at a weird angle that stops me from following through. (I got the idea of this from the thread on hardpan, and I think it was Yoda's answer about the low point; I could be wrong ).
