I hit the 6-iron about 180 yards. With my driver, I hate it when people ask me that because it's hard to give an accurate yardage. A long way. Over 300 when I really hit it. :)

Also, fellow forum member cisco has been kind enough to convert these to .mpg files and host them, so you can now click them frame-by-frame. I edited the original post and put in the new file addresses. Thanks for the conversion and hosting, cisco.

I believe the highest round since I've really "let the Hitting stroke loose" has been a 76, and that's been at least half a dozen rounds. The other day I was -3 thru 12 and threw it away down the stretch, but could have reasonably been -5 or -6 at that point had I not missed two or three very makeable birdie putts.

It also helps that I've been putting very well lately and really seeing my lines on the greens well. A new routine from Carey Mumford utilizing clearkeys has helped the putting immensely.

Is this the one where you line up the aiming line with the hole, then only take ONE practice stroke, etc...

I think you explained it on iseek b4...?

Yes, that's the one. A copy-and-paste job may be necessary, but that's something for the putting section here.

Putting Routine

Matt, I would appreciate it if you could copy and paste the putting routine you use...I just started using clearkeys and it does work well but takes several times to get used to using it, especially during a round.

Thanks for posting your swing...looks great.

It goes something like this:

- replace ball on green, line up to intended starting point using logo
- address the ball, take ONE practice stroke
- back away to behind the ball, start clearkey
- step over ball again, put putterhead right behind the ball
- do not look at the hole again, instead trust your read and the way you lined up your ball
- make the stroke

The theory of taking only one practice stroke...this enables your Computer (your brain) to know exactly how to hit the putt. If you just swing it back and through, or take multiple practice strokes in a row, how is your Computer supposed to differentiate between all of them? How will it know which one to use?

If I don't like the practice stroke I make, I back away and clear the stroke from my Computer. Then I restart the process by addressing the ball again, etc.

That is one heck of a swing! At the very high velocity your hands are travelling, do you still feel a heavy lag pressure sensation in your hands ,described by Homer as dragging a wet mop? I often wondered if pros with their super fast swings felt that.

I am limited as I cannnot look at individual frames through the swing. Just interested as I am in the beginning stages of learning a hitting procedure also, and despite the feeling of right arm action, the video is still revealing a pull from the top position and active pivot thrust.

Whatever you are doing, it sounds like you are killing it lol

I can assure you this eye is well trained.
