Great stuff! I love to see the proper hand and hip motions together. Ben does that really well. Is Ben trying to teach the guy an automatic snap release? It seems like he wants to get him to let the hips release the wrists. Is this correct?
Thanks, Mike |
Ben is all swing and all snap. Homer loved Snap too but with less hips. I believe. I might need a life line on that last point.

Hip Throw-out vs. Law of the flail
I have a question concerning the "hip throw-out action". Is this something that is supposed to be timed and, if so, why would you need/want to do that? If the law of the flail says that the club is always seeking to get in line with the left arm, why would you need to snap the hips to throw the club out? The club is going to align with the left arm without making any attempt to throw it out, right?

The left and right arms meet in the middle at PP#1. Balance is a great thing from all perspectives. That is the key to applying balanced, efficient, force in all areas. A very important concept to understand IMO. |

Feeling Hitting Versus Swinging
Quote:
When Hitting, feel Right Arm Muscular Drive-out Thrust driven by the Right Triceps (from a stable Right Shoulder). When Swinging, feel Left Arm Centrigual Throw-Out Wallop driven by Hip Action (and Body Momentum Transfer). |

I've been a swinger for years and have been trying to move to the hitting procedure because I think it makes my iron play better. I understand now why I can get into so much trouble when my hips get active. |
