The Scoring Game
Quote:
Ted and I talked tonight on his way home, and all I heard was, "The fairways were as narrow as a bowling alley." No matter. His nines were 34-33, so he must have hit a few and made a few! :) We'll find out tomorrow when he logs on! |

P.S. Would you like another Crab Leg???? |
this stuff works
Thanks everybody. It was exciting.
My last three tournament rounds have been under par. Two weeks ago, I had finished my 9th lesson on a Saturday evening, and Yoda had finished teaching his all day'er. He wanted to see me hit a few (something we don't ever get to do). I'm not exaggerating that he spent about ten minutes with me, checking my alignments, etc. Having those green eyes on you any chance you get...priceless. I played one of my matches in the Georgia Match Play Championship two days later. I shot five under on the par fives (eagle, birdie, birdie, birdie) for a two under total. In the stroke play event on the next day, I shot under par. Then, yesterday, I shot the 67 in the charity event. Three consecutive under par rounds in tournaments... For a guy that could shoot an 80 at the drop of a hat B.Y. (before Yoda), I can't tell you how much I appreciate him. |
Congratulations
Congratulations on great play, Ted!
I am sure Yoda is bustin' his buttons also. It is the best reflection on a teacher to have a student excel. |

The putter's been hot, as usual. But, I did miss a 3 footer for birdie on a 170 yard par three. One of my ams putted on the same line, and I thought he yanked the putt to the left. I was surprised when my putt broke out of the hole. No complaints though. You have to take the good with the bad. The fairways were as tight as I believe I've ever played, and they slope from right/left or left/right. Landing in the middle of the fairway, doesn't mean it will stay there. |

Great Round! But could you wipe the butter off of your face from yesterday's crab leg- OR go live with Bucket! |
Fortuitious
Great round Ted. Nice combination; teacher and player all in one. Forgot, husband and father. Where do you find the time?

Congrats Ted - no surprise to me you did so well on a tough driving course, amazing how straight your ball flies.
Perhaps you can take a few days off from teaching and give tour school a shot? ;) |
