Ted Fort, 2006 Georgia Section PGA Teacher of the Year Awards Ceremony

Ted Fort, recently named the 2006 North Georgia Chapter and Georgia Section PGA Teacher of the Year, received his award on October 30, 2006, at Idle Hour CC in Macon, Georgia. Ironically, as Ted noted in his acceptance speech while holding aloft his copy of The Golfing Machine, it was in this very room on February 14, 1983, while addressing the Georgia PGA, that Homer Kelley died at the age of 75. Sometimes, truth is stranger than fiction.

Here are a few photos from the Awards Ceremony. Enjoy!

Good Things Happenin to Good People

It really feels good seeing proof positive that good things happen to good people as it always should be. Ted so richly deserves these accolades. It looks like everyone had a great time as well although it looks like the little one was ready for bed! Congrats again to Ted. Such a nice guy with a wonderful family.

These photos were taken with Ted in his Clark Kent 'secret identity' mode. The real Ted -- Rocket Man -- returned yesterday to The Swamp. And as the night overtook the day, he was last seen fixing yet another Bent Left Wrist under the mercury vapor floodlights. :)

I've told everyone that I was very upset when Goodwill said that they had no return policy for suits. Buyer beware! I could have used that $5.

Nice Ted!

By the way how much did it cost to hire the "family" for a day! I mean really - you didn't expect me to believe that one- did you?
