hits and giggles? btw- I thought you stopped replying to my questions. If the right arm was to release itself from the left arm, it would straighten. That is because it pulls linear doesn't push in an arc. Even on the old forums DG (RR), it was always about YOU and TOM. In these tapes, and I like them- the tapes that is- Tom could have explained a few things better. I'm sure students hit the ball better- its TGM, right? Or is it TTGM? :salut: |

I have always said that TT did a bang up job with the tape- I enjoy them. I do think you block any question with the standard "watch the tapes and do these drills." TT leaves some questions to be asked. I do not think he would mind them- why you? TT is only one of many outstanding AIs that worked with Homer. I like to learn from all of them and ask them questions. Devotion is a fine but Blind devotion is just that- blind. |

Evershed talks a lot about the golf swing as a right sided swing (Those are mostly my words. I'm trying to paraphrase what I remember). He talks a lot about extensor action. He says the right hand-arm will always try to swing on-plane. If you try to swing by pulling the left arm you will more often than not swing straight down the target line, OFF-PLANE. He also talks about the 4accumulators. Evershed teaches a 4 barrel swinging procedure. So, if we want to try to get a window to Tomasello, maybe we should look to Evershed. |

The golf swing motion is made up of three separate units; The Quiet Body The On-Plane Arms The Educated Hands Be aware that when swinging your arms left (on-plane) what you get for free; Leg drive. A right shoulder that travels under their left. Your head will stay down. Your weight will get through the ball. The club face will get squared. The ball will fly straight. |
swinging arms left? could you explain ? thanks

I -F. RIGHT ARM OR LEFT
The "mystery" of the Mechanics of Golf fades away when Right Arm participation is understood (6-B-1). Whether its participation is active or passive is difficult to detect visualy because in either case the Left Arm is ALWAYS SWINGIG and the Right Forearms is ALWAYS DRIVING. But it is always a Left Arm Stroke unless the Right Elbow replaces the Left Shoulder as the center of the Clubhead Arc. (10-3-K) |

I know ME and TT very well. What DG doesn't understand is that many of us have watch the tapes several times. I have watch them MANY MANY times, but watching them until they sound like some Gregorian Chant, is not an answer or even a comment. I have no problem with TT. Any kind of reply that doesn't include watch the tapes and do the drills is all I wanted but no longer need. I know the answer. |

Basically what it sounds like. Because the hands move on an arc, they (and the club) will begin to move around to the left after impact, in order to stay on plane, as opposed to moving out toward the target. |
