nasty stuff coming in from OK......looks to slower moving than the stuff the other day which got here from tulsa in about 6 hours....so who knows, our local weather is SOOOOO dominated by the bluff on the river you can never really tell...........may they just call it at noon and off the NY we go!!! |

looking at radar
knowing the PGA is all about saftey first, as they should be.........kinda be surprised if they dont call it.
then again they wait wait it out and play until dark......... I am rooting for a 54 hole win. besides...........the CHECK still cashes 54 or 72 holesLOL LETS GO TO NY BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this stuff is coming down!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is 7.15 here and yeah if they DON"T call it I do not want to be the TPC super, I know Jim has a GREAT crew....but I WOULD NOT want to go fix all those bunkers this morning!!!!!! |
Weather Report
According to Accuweather there will be thunderstorms thru the morning til noon with a 3 hour window and then starting up at 3pm again...that's not much of a window to clean up the course then play before the next series of storms.
needham...you have a weather update?....thanks:) |

Please tell us more about half swing bunker shots. |

HG, Please understand I am only a local Superintendent. IMO, looking at radar and knowing local weather pattern, they are not going to play golf today. There are storms just north of Little Rock, AR that are coming this way.....3 hours before it gets here maybe less. Also looks to be bigger storms just east of Tulsa, OK........seeing we have not missed a storm yet in the last 72 hours I have to say by 4pm those will be here as well. Let me text around to some "super" friends and see if I can find out more. I did not go this year so I am out of the loop....but I will see what I can find out. |
I knew Brian would win comfortably :laughing9

1. Use a slightly Open Plane Line, i.e., a Line slightly left of the Target Line; 2. Use a Stance Line either parallel or just slightly Open to the Open Plane Line. 3. Open the clubface and aim it down the Target Line; 4. Grip the club firmly; 5. Set the Pivot Center (head) and weight slightly left (toward target) to encourage a steep Angle of Attack, but maintain a vertical shaft (little or no forward lean); 6. During the Stroke, minimize hand action and emphasize arm and pivot action. Think "up and down" (V-shaped swing), not "back and forth" (U-shaped swing); 7. Through Impact, trace the Open Plane Line with the Right Forearm and #3 Pressure Point. :) |
well just got off the phone with a guy, he said they are teeing back up..........so go figure.
I don't the TOUR's rule on calling to 54, but I say if there is a chance to call it now is the time. Cause the last thing you want is another delay 1/2 way through the round and run the chance of a Monday finish on US Open week. just look at the top 25.....lots of guys who need that paycheck and will not WD just to get to NY, in fact many of those guys are not even going to NY. All that being said, the TOUR has GREAT weather people. So lets hope we get it in, if we do play and our guy wins!!!!!!!!:golf: |
here we goooooo
birdie on 4th |
Ian Baker giving YODA and TGM some props
WEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! so nice to hear!! |
Finchy is my new favorite commentator!
|
we need to get his putting stroke cataloguiesed.
another birdie! |
just another 29ft 3in putt for birdie...3 under thru 6 on today's round....we have a 5 stroke lead gentlemen going to #7
|
Kostis swingvision focused on slightly shut clubface at top...:sleepy:
Said nothing about...or ignored....flat left wrist at impact....plane....clubface at impact.... Every swingvision commentary should should begin with the 3 functions of the club...and end with the 3 functions... any talk about funky foot action (see Ken Brown on Setanta) is just showbiz...:laughing9 :golf: Great play Brian - moving forward again like this shows great control of the 4th imperative - steady and refrigerated grey matter inside the steady head!:salut: |
Yep a couple of mentions for Lynn and TGM by Finchy within the past 15/20 mins. This is good.
The Setanta commentators were commenting on the Brian's closed clubface at the top of the backswing and saying how he must be working on it with his coach...hmmm don't ever remember Lynn mentioning it in all the videos. Maybe they know more than we do :laughing9 Can't wait for the back nine and watch Brian go! Alex |
Alot of focus on the putting because the commenators can't understand how ...when he is always first to play his second shot ...he is 4-5 shots ahead of the guys who hit it a "normal distance"...
"6 for 9 in sand saves...but I think his putter had something to do with that..." said commentator... He is a great putter but alot of those putts are around 15 feet or less....how did the ball get there in the first place??:laughing9 Ian Baker-Finch is a good guy though! It is the other guy..? Peter Kostis who is a little bit off... |

4-5 ahead and still firing at the flag even when water is around...The commentators loved that one! Brian's brain may be his best component!! ...25th component (chapter 14)
Let Brian and Lynn explain it to them later;):laughing9 |
Quick walk to the shop and her not only birdies after his bogey but he keeps on splitting fairways...triumph and disaster treated just the same... very steady head!:salut:

Kostis is a pop instruction moron IMO. Really is his CH that shut....if he went to "end" his CH would be dead square to his FLW........or course Kostis loves to throw in .." all his leg action is the reason he is able to square the CH at impact".... Of course Kostis is openly rooting for Molder, who has proved himself a choke. I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY FOR BRIAN AND EVERYONE SURROUNDING HIM:salut: |
well you guys are getting to watch the magic of the right forearm i think brian worked on something last saturday and sunday via telephone just a little scoop for ya

Congratulations Brian !
I like the way you make it easy on your wife and kids...none of those close finishes that might get them nervous whilst they wait at 18 in the 4th....just 4 or 10 shot leads coming into 18....everyone stays calm that way...nice touch:laughing9 Kip seems really good guy..."what did you do that for...?" when you stick it to 5 feet at 18 :laughing9 Lynn, you must be a proud coach tonight!:golf: |
Nice Finish!
Congrats Brian & Lynn! Keep it rollin' next week :golfcart:
