Thanks, Kev.

Just in this evening as an invited guest at the PGA of America's Ambassadors reception at Reunion Golf Resort. A wonderful group of guys and gals in a TaylorMade setting. :laughing9

Tonight, at this upscale venue and with these top-tier PGA professionals, I met a few old friends and made many new ones.

You know, we all have our own challenges and troubles. Some more than others. That said, right now . . .

It's fun to be me!

Lynn Blake aka Yoda...Supreme Performance at PGA Teaching & Coaching Summit

I was onsite for the 2011 PGA Teaching & Coaching Summit this past week in Orlando, Florida. Was front and center for Yoda's appearance at 9:00 AM on Monday morning. I can say that he was really excited but calm just before going on the center stage. Once introduced and out there...well...he was at home! He was doing what he does best...helping PGA Professionals and others understand the importance of ALIGNMENTS. The title of his presentation was "Alignments Are Forever". He was on his "A" game from start to finish. Comments I heard after his presentation from others were..."he made it sound so simple"...."I can use his presentation with all my students when I get back home"..."where is Lynn Blake from"..."this guy knows"..."he was the best I have heard at the summit"....and "I wish I could have seen Lynn give live lessons". Lynn went from the center stage after his presentation over to a breakout session area near a practice green with an audience of 200 or more watching as he explained the importance of alignments and how to put them into practice. Needless to say...Yoda was well received!

Lou Holtz was on hand later that day with a presentation on life and motivation. However...and not planned...Lynn was asked to give Holtz a live lesson on the main stage before Holtz spoke. Stands were packed as we watched Yoda work with Holtz for about 20 minutes.

On another note...all should see up on the website soon...the Alignment Golf Seminar upcoming in Greensboro, NC on March 9th and 10th. Lynn Blake Associate Certification can be obtained by your attendance. Hope to see you in Greensboro!

And thanks also to everyone who's posted in this thread and who has supported me in this adventure we call Lynn Blake Golf. What a great ride it's been!

I apologize for not posting more this week, but it's been a whirlwind morning to midnight ever since I arrived this past Sunday: I've either presented or taught or met with folks or nosed around the convention center every day. I do some work with BG this afternoon at the Show between his gigs with Bettinardi and Sligo, then spend most of tomorrow with him on the tee at Golden Bear Club at Keene's Point. Sunday it's teaching all day at The Faldo Institute.

Not sure where it goes from there!

:3gears:

Lynn,

I am not in B'ham any longer, have made a move to the great white north!! Moved back up to my wife's hometown in Wisconsin, teaching at a GolfTEC near Madison. Excited to hear about JSchu on the forum, plan to meet and talk sometime in the future with him. Will take more planning to get to you, but it is in the plans.

Will send you a pm soon, when are you back home?

Todd

Todd, do they let you teach alignments there? As a teacher, I know you can get any point over you wish. I'm jealous! I had a Golftech teacher once upon a time who couldn't give me a straight answer to save his life or my score. They will be lucky to have you, I'm sure!

You and Kevin could put on a week long Alignment Summit, inviting the little green person and people from IL and Canada! :)

Thanks Rick

That sure puts some "up close and in person" perspective on things. Glad to hear that Yoda is getting the information into the Hands of other people. Doesn't surprise me one bit but glad to hear it.

All the best.

It is great to hear from someone who was there. It was especially good to hear how others responded to Lynn's talk. His work with Lou Holtz would be great to see. Who else who was there could give us feed back

Thanks for thee update on Lynn's successful presentation, Rick.

Also, Lou Holtz is a person that I hold in high regard. I give my kids a quick speech every morning before they go to school that I heard Lou Holtz give many years ago. "If you want to be successful in life remember these three things: do what is right, do your best, and treat others the way you want to be treated."

Thanks, Bill, and all others, too, for your supportive comments. I appreciate them!

Drew, the link is visible only to those who attended the Summit. :(

I think we'll gradually get it all up here. Next up is my lesson with Coach Lou Holtz!

Thats a tuff task that "lesson" in ten minutes....but sound advice for sure and Im glad to see the intro too.......man thats one heck of an intro. Well done Yoda. You needed weeks but you distilled it to minutes.....not easy.

gmbtempe 02-06-2011 12:14 AM

Watching the Holtz video what was interesting was the comment of the grips affect on his alignments. I wish I understood that better and how it was so easily determined.

Thanks, David. I appreciate the photos and especially your taking the time to post them. The process can get a little testy: I know!

I think you described this one to me in an email as "quiet intensity".

I'll take that and say thanks. But, I gotta tell ya . . .

I now have a really good idea of how a gladiator felt before he was thrust into the arena!

Don't forget the 35 minutes in between the intro and the close.

Even with the 'bootleg' video (posted on You Tube within hours of my presentation by "littlerockpro") and subsequently posted here by O.B. Left in Post #64 above, there's at least ten minutes missing on the front end! Not to mention the entire 45-minute breakout session.

Fun!

Long time no see but once I saw....that is so great and wonderful. I remember last time when Paul (golfguru) came to Hong Kong year ago and we had lunch together, I told him about my thought regarding the "swing" and I said...if we can walk, left right left right....we can play good golf....

Wow, learning from Homer, TGM, Lynn...is special.:salut:
