Regarding Cometgolfer's post- everyone should know that Bucket actually not only posts under "12 Piece Bucket" but there are another 22 frequent forum posters that are indeed also Bucket in disquise- Comet Golfer is one of those aliases. Much like Phil Henry who has a radio show where he pretends to be the caller and the host - goes back and forth with himself.

MikeO,

Now that's truly an insult to all things related to the solar system!:naughty:

Bucket's tastes in aliases run more along the lines of "toejamrichie" or "you-might-be-a-redneck-if".

Besides, I barely have 200 posts so you know I'm not "Mr. Dozen".

Thank you Mike. You confirmed one of my Bucket suspicions.

Don't believe him when he gets all "condescending" on ya!

He went to one of the most prestigious public schools in the country too! I liked it better when I thought his wife read the Machine to him at night.

CometGolfer,
You have my apology- somehow I thought this was one of the 22 that he uses............... wait a minute "I barely have 200 posts so you know I'm not "Mr. Dozen"- that doesn't make sense- could you be?...

Mike,

Please don't think ill of me. In a moment of weakness, I allowed myself to sit in on the Bucket & Mike O Game.

Sorry.

To be sure, I haven't played much golf in the past year or two. But I'm graduating this May and starting to embark on the job hunt.

Depending on where I end up this summer after graduation -- something that is still very much up in the air -- I'd love to sharpen up my game and make the trip. If things work out, it'd be great to see Lynn and Ted again. And it would no doubt be fun to meet some of the other knowledgeable contributors to this site.

We'll see how the next few months go!

Matt, It's not how good you play- the only important thing is how good you can make people think you play'd - after the round is finished.
Ah! Yesterday I shot 62 - 9 under par (you know- something like that- when you really shot 102):) If you need more information on this PM Bucket- he's an expert.

Mike O 02-06-2008 11:36 PM

Green Machine- You just can't leave the game on your own free will - once entered. It's much like the Jumanji game- easy to play - not easy to leave! Bucket's on his way to your house- to introduce you to the secret handshake and various rituals to induct you- make sure the wife and kids aren't around- it's not going to be pretty.

I feel the love! You just have a difficult time expressing it. I understand it's been a tough life- when you look like you do - things are not easy! By the way- are those bananas coming from where I think they are coming from? :monky:

Hey dipstick I AM Matt . . . why do I need to send myself a PM??? I'm coming to apply for a job at that quickcashcheckcenter you try to pass off as a bank . . . make sure you got on clean underwear when I show up to take your spot as Assistant Vice President to the Guy That Pushes The Mop (or should I say Drags . . . DRAG would be much more appropriate for several reasons).

See you in the morning . . . you still wear the Lavern sweater with the "L" on it . . . or did you just stamp the L on that night stand you call a forehead?

Hey Mike . . . this is strange man . . . I looked under the driver's seat/bunk bed in your van to get the duck tape and lighter fluid . . . I found something strange under there sitting under the crack pipe . . .

There was some XXL women's drawz with big brown streaks in 'em . . . somebody wrote "Property of Ted Fort" on the waist band . . .

Should I mail those to him with the lotion you promised him?

Are you SURE that Lynn's house is the one with the orange Vega on blocks with the mermaid with the huge rack air brushed on the hood?

Neil,
If you don't come - we'll come and get you. So would you rather look over your back - all the time. Or just be a man and face the music.... face the music?... never was good at quoting that kind of stuff. From what Bucket has told me- I know the answer. You might want to buy a mirror and put it on your shoulder- you won't strain as many neck muscles.

Henny's Aboard!

I bring glad tidings . . .

Henny Bogan -- PGA TOUR caddie extraordinaire -- has confirmed with me this morning his attendance at this fall's LBG Homecoming Classic.

:notworthy

Moreover, he will be a featured participant (with Jeff Hull) in our sessions devoted to Course Management and the Mental Game (got something else cooking here, too; stay tuned!). He and Jeff will lead a session devoted to teaching you the 'tricks of the trade' and how you can apply them to cut strokes in your own game, even if you never enjoy the edge of a TOUR caddy.

Welcome aboard, Henny, and good luck this week at Pebble!*

:salut:

*Henny's on the bag for past Masters champ Larry Mize in this week's AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.

LBG Homecoming Classic -- Tentative Dates

We're still in the negotiating stages and will soon have the venue, accomodations and format nailed down. Meanwhile, it looks like September 12-14 (Friday - Sunday) is the way to go. [September 11-14 for those who come in for the Thursday Yoda TGM Intro session.]

alrenz 02-07-2008 05:40 PM

Again, I would prefer a weekday event rather than weekend, and it was my understanding that we were looking at the fall timing, which in my mind is October. The tentative date is right after labor day(couple of weeks). Just my input.

Allan

MBCpro 02-07-2008 06:19 PM

I know it must be tough with a lot of schedules to meet!
