Bagger,
As I recalled the Audio tapes when Homer was asked. Why the Swinger can only be Accumulator 4 2 3 and not 4 barrel? His answer is there is no point? Part of my Video message is trying to explain my understanding of that. ====o===== Another point I am trying to make is how does that difference affect Other parts of the components. We don't get into that required Alignment( or position) just because its compatible ... its also because of how the Forearm is Aligned , loaded, and supported in the first place. Those alignment becomes, an effect. Have some fun and think about it. :) |

Your premise is (correct me if I'm wrong): Swingers use pressure point 3 for extensor action to pull the clubshaft to the top of the swing and hitters use pressure point 1. Because of this, the flying wedge structure differs for hitters and swingers during the loading process. As a result the elbow naturally folds into a pitch position for swingers and a punch position for hitters. The rest of your premise is that if a swinger has a pitch elbow, it is impossible to execute a hitting action from that position. In my opinion, it may appear to work that way in your motion (per your video) but since you are starting with an unusual use of extensor action, several other components are going to be effected. I very much agree that all components flow together but I'm afraid you are starting with the wrong assumptions. But this wouldn't be the first time I'm wrong either. :)
Folks like Yoda, Ted, and our Professional Contributors have had a lot more time digging this stuff out of the dirt than I have. Others chime in, but there you have my humble opinion. :) I love extensor action, but I think you are putting much more into it than it really is. |
Bagger, you are correct and I agree + understand all your points, and you got me to understand further points.
The motion I presented in the video is Un-golflike ... and the extensor action does extend below the plane... There is still flaws in my explanation. But to make the point clear I had made a exaggerated motion, trying to explain the following; 1)By supporting the Primary Lever Assembly and Secondary ( by the forearm or extensor action ) . The motion changes and Many of the swing/ hit component will change automatically. 2) As long as your forearm and extensor understand and educated to the No.1 point. The difference of a HIT and a Swing is clear . And all the "symptoms " of a hit and a swing is created. I think i can better the explanation now.The extensor direction direction is pulling the arms down at setup.. For Hitting, pull the no.1 accumulator and the extensor have the feeling of keep pulling this no 1 accumulator through the cup of the right hand throughout the swing even when the right wrist bends. This way the left arm is like a Wall , something stiff Swinging.. the accumulator 1 is pulled with the same way.. at the same time during the backswing , the extensor INTENT to pull the shaft via pp 3 and with the right wrist bends.. Thus forearm and extensor action becomes secondary support... and the left arm became a Flail or string. AND many thanks to you Bagger. I think I got it better now , Also Loading and Extensor action are different things... I used to assume its the same .. Major Major incubator hatching !... Thank you so much ! |
