Awesome Experience in S FLA

Been around this forum for about three years as a beginner golfer. I found the info to be very interesting and have been working hard at trying to implement the concepts. Well, needless to say I really struggled. I decided to contact Lynn to see if there was anyone in South Florida who would be able to help me execute and properly understand the concepts. Lucky for me Lynn hooked me up with Dan Malizia at Pinetree CC in Boynton Beach.

I spent about four hours with Dan over two days and I cannot even begin to tell you how awesome it was. I have a lot of work to do but now understand what is right! What is amazing is how what I thought was right was not even close. It feels great to have the correct understanding of what is supposed to happen. Also, the course and range are unreal.

Anyway, I am putting this out there for no other reason than to share my experience and to thank Lynn for recommending Dan.

Thanks for posting, Jon. We appreciate your enthusiasm and support!

Dan Malizia -- pronounced Ma-LIZE -- is head professional at the venerable Pinetree CC (home club for decades of a dues-paying Sam Snead). He is a respected PGA of America professional and also a first rate guy. Dan and I are in our second year working together, and I'm proud that he recently earned the designation Lynn Blake Certified Senior Instructor.

I strongly recommend Dan to our South Florida friends seeking the finest in golf instruction.

Inquiring minds want to know! Welcome!

As a result of Swivels post I contacted and had a lesson today with Dan.
Have had many lessons over the last 40 years and mostly with the big names you hear and read about, and with mixed results.
Today was different.
Dan made my 3 year study of TGM come alive. (One should not be reading this stuff without help.)
He, one by one, delineated the areas where correction was needed and communicated in an understandable way, how to achieve the desired result.
A poor round can be a depressant, or a real beat down. A good or great round, can be uplifting and invigorating.
After todays lesson Dan has given me the tools to be a player again.
Originally a plan to visit Lynn in early August did not work out.
Dan insisted that a trip to Cuscawilla should not be missed and that he visits
as often as he can.
Love,n the journey.
Thanks to Dan for his good work.
However,..........this relationship maybe of short duration if he keeps hitting my clubs better than me.

Great lesson w/ Dan

Refered by none other than Yoda himself , I went to see Dan at Pine Tree. His patience , enthusiasm , expertise , clarity and love of teaching made it big time rewarding for me ! From too shallow , on elbow plane , no divot , ....to on turned shldr plane , lag and compression . We got right to what I needed and why. He is my man ! I need go nowhere else.

thanks ww

Woody, you did a great job - it's great when you have access to information that allows the instructor to quickly improve a student's game!

Just got back from a retreat to Cuscowilla with Rick Murphy and Curt Sanders - boy, three and a half days of intense study of 1-L and all facets related to such.

Thanks to Yoda for his enthusiasm and dedication to his students - he's an inspiration!

Yesterday I had my most productive golf session in the 3 years that I have been playing. I owe that to Dan. A 3 hour plus TGM masterpiece! Of course I have a long way to go but he did a fantastic job of showing and explaining the golf concepts that is difficult to capture in the book. Starting from Basic to Acquired motion ,he explained details that I understood and right away I could feel a different and more productive swing with better ball contact that I had before.Much fun! He had me do some drills with an impact bag that really helped my ball flight. He explained to me how I can tell where to look when bad shots occur. He is very patient and knows his craft very well. I will definitely be back to see him in the near future! My P3 got so much use it is killing me now! Lol! Thanks again Dan! Much appreciated! And thank you to Lynn for a wonderful resource of information and teachings for the Machine! Now off to buy that impact bag!

Dan, is following in Mr. Blake's footsteps! I am still amazed at the depth of knowledge (teaching term) and passion Lynn displayed while working with me last Spring. I am still flashing back to insights he offered. What a fine organization!

Jim, I thought you did a great job. Like alot of mid range players, we may not know where to focus our energies, and this delays the improvement of our games.

In your case, it was obvious that you needed to focus first on the clubface through impact. Understanding hinge action was a big part of that - the shot to the right is no more!

The controlling the clubhead was next in line - flat left wrist drills with the impact bag and understanding how the pivot allows us to maintain a flat left wrist to low point. In addition, you compensated for a bent left wrist by increasing the flex of the knees through impact (trying to get to the ground). Working on the finish with the left leg straight and the club behind your head got rid of that! Knowing where you are going usually allows for the proper movement to get there.

The path of the clubshaft was good so we left that alone this time.

Controlling the clubshaft, the clubhead, and clubface is what its all about!!

Thanks for coming to see me - it was a privilege!
