Right knee vs right hip

Worked with Greg McHatton years ago in California; we focussed on preventing my right knee from moving forward as the further it moved the less my hips would turn. It has been over 20 years and this problem via video is back. Is there something I can do that will allow me to feel like my knees are quiet but my hips and shoulders are moving. Currently everytime i freeze my knees i feel like i am not moving at all, ie i just throw it more and move less.

The right leg is a brace that pushes hard into the ground as your hips slide forward. Did GM show you the drill where you push a golf cart with only your left hip in contact with the cart?

Golf Car Drill

No he actually got in behind me grabbed my right knee with his left hand and pushed hard at my right hip with his right hand (going forward) as I was about 1/3 of the way back. Felt weird but effortless, never hit it better. Can you give me more detail regarding the cart drill please?
