Things are popping today in Round 1 of the Mark Christopher Charity Classic at Empire Lakes Golf Course in Rancho Cucamonga, California. The morning round is finishing up with the leaders in at -5. With two to play, John Riegger is at -2.

One of the top stories this week will be the appearance and performance in the field of jazz great Kenny G. In addition to being the world's leader in instrumental records sold (70,000,000 and counting), Kenny is a scratch golfer in on a sponsor's exemption for the second time. The first was in 2005 when he shot 82-83=165 and missed the cut.
