I have a 11.5 pound momentus short club, use it all the time, I love it, the danger is losing control of it. I use for slow motion start down waggles, sometimes i go through the 12 sections with it in very slow motion verifying alignments as i go. Does it help? I think it does for me!! The start down waggles are key for me and a lot of my students. I don't use the heavy one for my students, but i do have use a weighted club for their own start down waggles, usually just the regular momentus iron. I think it starts to remove a little of the downstroke blackout that is all to familiar to those who teach.

That makes a lot of sense. If it helps downstroke blackout, then it will help with Release drills, RFT, etc.
