Mac, I'm sure that Mike O will explain the issue in detail if he has time enough after shoveling snow.

In the meantime, maybe this short answer can help clear some fog. The Right Palm Up after Impact is due to not Hinging through Impact, and not Hinging is due in part from keeping your Left Arm glued to your chest.
