Am I correct in that Brian needs to win a tourney to qualify for the 2011 Masters? If true, seems a shame as he is currently 31st in PGA money but only 103rd in world golf ranking. I know the Masters takes the top 50 in world ranking into the field. That seems to be a much lagging indicator. Brian was only 46th in world ranking in 2009 when he had more than one win (that got him in for 2010). Seems wrong somehow.

The World Rankings and its qualifying criteria and weighting leave a lot to be desired. We're talking about weighting points according to performance on six world tours plus the Canadian, OneAsia, Nationwide and European Challenge Tours.

I find it more than a little interesting that a guy who has won
three official PGA TOUR events and more than
$9.5 million Official Money since 2006 has played in only one Masters (2010).
In terms of depth, the Masters field is certainly the weakest of the four majors.
