Web Site Design Complaint
This is my first post on the forum so I realize it's a bit rude to come out of the box with a complaint. Having said that...I find the video section of the gallery to be very difficult to navigate. Previously, there was a "drop down" menu with clear descriptions of content. It was very easy to choose a particular lesson from Lynn Blake, for instance, but now all I see for the most part are generic "video" screen captures which I have to click on in order to view the contents. Before, I could go to "Flying Wedges" in a matter of seconds.

I have to say I don't find the new design to be an improvement at all. My apologies if I'm out of line in all this. It's quite possible that I'm missing something here and I'm more than willing to hear some suggestions, advice, or just plain vitriol. Thanks.

With all due respect I agree with jazzfan. With that said, I love the site!

The reason you can't sustain the lag is because you are so eager to make the club move fast (a reaction to the intent of "hitting it far"). So on a full shot you throw it away too early, which doesn't happen for your short chip. (bts)

Thanks guys, we always appreciate your comments. I've not had time to respond to some of the other recent posts regarding the site, but please know we are listening and working on making the site better for everyone.

Sometimes, just like when working on your golf swing, you have to take one step back to take two forward, and that's what has happened with the gallery upgrade. The upgraded gallery software allows us, among other things, to more tightly integrate the gallery with the forum and the rest of the site, and it gives us more control over the administration of our ever increasing collection of great golf media.

The interface and navigation of the new gallery software is high on our list of things to improve. In fact, if you've looked at one of our photo galleries last week you should have already seen a new and improved, slideshow-style interface. On the video side, we are working on cleaning up the titles on all of the videos to make things easier to find, and I have already changed the navigation so videos launch directly from the thumbnail page instead of having to navigate to the video and then back to the thumbnail page. We have some ideas for the video section down the road, but hopefully this change helps make the gallery at least as user friendly as it used to be.

Thanks For The Response
I appreciate the response. I should have said previously that I consider the site to be an exceptional resource. I'm just thinking of someone like myself when I first visited having heard great comments about it elsewhere. It was very easy to navigate and find various topics in the video section. If I was a "newbie" now I would find it quite frustrating. But enough of that...I'm looking forward to your efforts and want to repeat how much I appreciate the work all of you are doing to help hacks like me to improve.

Your initial comments were great, and it's the kind of feedback that helps us know what to focus on next!

Clear Your Cookies!
I continue to learn of people having video or other access problems. So far, in 99 percent of the cases, it's been a simple problem to solve: YOU MUST CLEAR YOUR COOKIES.

Here's an excerpt from a recent Bambam post:
Lastly, we've had a few users who have had problems accessing portions of the site. From my research, the access problems are almost certainly related to the new version of the forum and can be solved by clearing one's cookies. Clearing cookies immediately worked for all of the users who reported back about this problem. If you're experiencing this problem, I can provide instructions on how to clear your cookies.
Please, if you're having problems...

CLEAR YOUR COOKIES!
