I feel the way to do this is to always play two shots from the worst ball. If you can shoot in the low 70's in that format you're starting to get somewhere.

How does this work? Basically play captains choice? 2 tee balls pick the worst. From there 2 second shots pick the worst? etc.

The fun runs out for me pretty quick hitting two shots out of the woods and rocks!
That would be a definite way to teach you how to grind...for sure.
I like to play it my way if I've had some shakey rounds and ball striking. It has a way of rebuilding my confidence.

This is exactly why I do both...sort of both I guess. I only keep my best or worst ball score depending on the day and play the other shot for practice from tough (or easy) positions.

This format is clearly not for everyone but just think how interesting a match with your buddies would be if you played this way. 2 on 2, play worst ball (one shot each instead of 2) where the other team determines what worst ball is. Bets on 18 could get real inetesting.

This would be a fun format with teams and a little caggabe on the line!
