Muscle recruitment
Not a hitter but my 2 cents:

I think that most people have sufficient strength to hit. The problem is that moving a golf club with the right tricep (particularly with gravity assisting) presents a very low load to the muscle. When presented with a light load, mostly slow twitch muscle fibers are recruited. To increase the muscle loading, make sure that you are moving the club fast enough on the backswing and ensure that the right tricep decelerates the club. This will increase the loading on the tricep, recuit more fast twitch fibers, and allow you to extend the right arm more explosively.

This sort of recruitment is one possible explanation for the phenomenom of "Tour Tempo"

I like this, Golfie. I think it adds a new dimension to the terminology 'resist the Backstroke motion.' Thanks!
