My "bread and butter" procedure is to Swing on all chips and pitches.
Hitting, by definition, is the active, conscious use of right arm muscle (triceps) to power the club through the Release and Impact intervals. If you aren't doing that, then you are Swinging.
Right Forearm not Triceps! The Magic of the Right Forearm. Also study 1-F, the Right Forearm is ALWAYS DRIVING.

I agree. Though I can swing 6' chips with horz hinging with proficiency, it's still not the same as Hitting with Angled Hinging. Hitting is so much less complex. Trajectory control stable and the right forearm thrust and #3 pressure aiming is a natural. Distance control and driving at the same time is right their in front of you.
Pitching. On short pitches, swinging with angled hinging. Medium and long pitches, Swing with horz. Hinging.
