Stuck at home
Living in cold weather evironment (4 inches on the first day of spring ) plus needing to tackle-wrestle with some little hellions, I end up getting to spend 30 minutes actually look-look-LOOKING with dowel and a wedge through basic motions curriculumn.

I'm in a similar boat. Spend around 30 min. a day LOOKING, if I can get away from the house/baby for an hour in the evening, I chip/pitch/punch and do full swings in the barn . When the snow melts and the range finally opens, my lunch hour is spent working at the range. I used to play about once per week, but we'll see how things go this year with the new baby.

You also mentioned "thinking" about golf, which would include studying the book, forums, staring longingly out the office window on a beautiful day, etc.......no comment

A better question . . .
How much time do you HAVE to spend on golf/G.O.L.F. to reach your goals?

Do you have to pound balls on the 1000's? Is there a more efficient way to learn to swing and learn to SCORE?

Bucket,
Of course it is different for everyone, but I find with my students the better their knowledge and understanding of the alignments, the less they have to practice. They may practice as much just because they enjoy it more, but their practice is defined and not a search for that days holy grail!!!

That's kinda what I was thinking. Once you have the alignments you got it licked (sort of). It sounds like some guys practice out of fear. I read somewhere that when asked Vijay said "he practiced because he thought he may LOSE his swing."

That's kind of why I had always thought if there were a TGM or LBG BLUEPRINT for General Golfing Sucess people would have an outline on how and what to practice. Dowels, basic, acquired total etc. How much time etc.
