I could be mistaken, but I think the TP versions set up "square" while the non-TP versions set up "closed."

True. Square.

They are also built to feel more solidly I believe....or at least different.....

....and heavier....with a higher centre of gravity.....for less spin, which produces a flatter trajectory shape.

Thanks for the comments.The TP is certainly square -that's the reason I bought it -makes a huge difference to the shot shape.Your comments on weighting make sense,feels much heavier.Thanks

I hit a copule of these (and the R7 tp) at a TM demo day...wow! It felt much different than the non TP models...really, really heavy and solid through impact. Every shot felt and sounded like the ball was absolutely mashed.

The rep said that the TP models are 1-2 degrees open, and the shaft accounted for the difference in feel.

Just want to let everyone know that if you find a square retail golf club, you are truly lucky. Even the TP versions are between 1.5 and .5 degrees closed, and still have the draw bias, although less than the non-tp versions. The only way to truly have a square or open face and remove draw bias is to 1) Have hot melt added to the head and get it cranked open, or 2) Buy a tour issue driver.
