I hate that it's over. I wish it had been longer, but I'm afraid that all the guys would have been wearing band-aids, tape, and extra gloves on their bloody hands.

Thanks to all that attended for making it a great school.
Lynn, Ted, Host VJ and team:

Many thanks for a great weekend bringing TGM concepts into reality. Yoda IS the master, and his continued enthusiasm is only exceeded by his knowledge. Ted you were to really able to help me feel hitting, with simple concise explanations, and make me believe in hitting. I am definitely going to try grow that hitter in me(though I can't quite give up swinging yet). And VJ...man what fun!! A great host...and if Ted is "YodasLuke", VJ ought to be Han Solo...a little irreverant, a little crazy, and a load of fun whenever you get a little bogged down in TGM. He is able to "pilot" any golf swing to improvement. Thanks to all you guys and the rest of the crew at Old Waverly. I'm ready for MORE!

Dave

Got back to GTR at 4.20. Checked in golf bag .I was the only person there so went outside for a smoke(no BEER!).Iwas minding my own business sat outside when i started tracing the plane line along the curb .You guys who know GTR will get this .I am right forearm tracing outside the automatic doors and every time I got to two feet back, the auto door opened.I was there for twelve minutes . Eventually I turned around to see the door open and two toddlers watching me ,their fingers in mouths shouting "mummy what is the man doing"-mummy dragged them away .The next time I saw them was in the lounge when I overheard Mum say "DON'T BE MEAN TO THE SILLY MAN TALKING TO THE SIDEWALK".VJ If you hear about this can you please tell them I was PRACTICING

New swing theory
The golf swing is performed under a ' STATIONARY BOTTLE OF MINERAL WATER ' . Ted Fort told me this!

It was a privilege to spend 7 wonderful days at Old Waverly. The facility was first class and the three days of the school befitting of it.

I want to thank my new found friends for making my stay so enjoyable. Especially Lynn, Ted, VJ and Tony for providing a path to a better understanding of the golf swing and how it works.

VJ is one talented individual. That session with Yoda in the locker room after the DVD showing was hilarious. It was the comedy channel at its best  VJ thank you or showing me what Southern hospitality is all about. Although you want to stay under the radar, I suspect your teaching talent won’t allow that to happen for long.

The hour spent with Tony on the putting green was invaluable. A more humble person one could never meet. Good luck at the Seniors’ tour qualifier at Birmingham. I hope you make it and give the field a shake.

Lynn lives the Golfing Machine and it is reflected in every word he says. Yoda, thank you for the time you spent with me. You lifted a lot of fog from my golf world.

Ted, thanks mate. I look forward to many rounds with you when you make it down under and in the future. Yoda is the master but you are not far behind.

Daryl, your knowledge of the book was impressive (did you read anything else over the past 25 years ) . I enjoyed the round we played together.

Neil, you had Ted , wondering what he had to do to get it put there past you. Shame about your place of birth. Bloody pommies . I will be thinking of you when the Ashes are on. Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi.

Hoppy, it was a pleasure and fun to spend time with you.

To everyone else, I thank you for making me feel so welcome. I hope I get the chance to meet up with you all again, and relive the wonderful experience that was Old Waverly.

You Aussies have a special way of making everyone feel like they're your best friend, and at the same time call them a donger with a big grin on your face. I had a great time on the course with you, and I appreciate your willingness to scrap playing and stick to practicing. It was humbling to have you travel so far to come see us. Next time, I'll do the traveling.

Keep me posted on you progress.

Your friend, Ted Fort

Doc,
You're a HITTER!!!!!! Just accept it. There are only an elite few, so you should feel privileged.

Having someone with 3 dimensional understanding is always easier. If I see you again and you're swinging, we're going to have words. Thanks for trusting me enough to send you down that road.

If you see Russ again in Franklin, tell him we met. I'll try to reach you when I return to Franklin. Maybe, we can play at the Legends.

Yours in the brotherhood,
Ted "The Hitter"

Franklin, Indiana? The Legends is a fun course; played there for the first time a couple weeks ago.

Actually, TN. They're holding an LPGA event there this week.

P.S. How's your game?

wow, that's a weird coincidence. There's a course in Franklin, IN called "The Legends of Indiana".

My game is coming around...well, actually more up and down (I still need to get you some video). In short, my plane is good, hips and on plane r. should are getting better (still working on these), and I'm getting consistent in-to-out divots now. Relapses are getting fewer and further between, but the hips/r. shoulder are most stubborn. Had a great range session yesterday; probly won't play much until I'm more comfortable with the changes. Short game is getting lots more consistent; had my first range polie in quite a while today.
