If you are going to use a shoulder only stroke with the ball forward, I would suggest "jacking up" on that left side. Meaning I would suggest moving the left shoulder forward toward the target, in this way you will protect the geometry of the circle.
A motionless right shoulder on the back stroke, as opposed to a moving right shoulder on the back stroke.....low point being opposite the sternum as opposed to opposite the left shoulder....accumulator #1 as opposed to #4.....these are the
"big ones" when it comes to the differences between the arm only and shoulder only stroke.
