The Axe Handle and Rope Handle IMO really sums it up. Put that on the Inclined Plane and what do have? A golf stroke?
Although the focus may be on the ball or a point in front or behind the ball, Thrust must always be through, past the point of focus, this includes if one is attempting to drive to the hands location.
Absolutely - I often find it quite helpful to focus on a spot on the ground well ahead of the ball and try to send my hands 'through' their impact location - DOWN to that spot. Especially helpful for the short irons.
