In Putting the face is 5 times more important than the path.

On a 200 yard shot - 1 degree in to out with the face square to the path - 4 yards right.

Perfect path but clubface 1 degree open - 9 yards right.

An "expert" told me this.

Sometimes players mis-diagnose this, and really cause problems.

For example... if a player is hitting Clubface Pulls, but is on plane with the Shaft, he may deduce he is OVER-THE-TOP, and start trying to do things to correct his plane. Then he will likely go down a path of being very fouled up... because he attempted to fix the wrong thing.
