I have used these on the range with my sons and their friends .
Pick a target green say 100 yds away. Have them try to land the ball on the green with several different clubs (driver, 5I, PW).
Pick out a golf ball say 10-15 yds away and first one to hit the target ball using their sand wedge wins.
I love the glass idea, that is really good. Johnny Miller said he would take his kids out to hit golf balls into a lake and before they were bored he'd gather them up and say it's time to play stupid basketball, let's go.
If the kids can generate enough club head speed maybe you could take them out to a lake and have them try to skip balls across the water with acquired motion or something.
When there are turkeys at the range 150-180 out I have a tough time leaving. GOBBLES!!!!

The reason you can't sustain the lag is because you are so eager to make the club move fast (a reaction to the intent of "hitting it far"). So on a full shot you throw it away too early, which doesn't happen for your short chip. (bts)
Big or little, turn around in the middle of turning to the back.

"Sustain (Yang/陽) the lag (Yin/陰)" is "the unification of Ying and Yang" (陰陽合一).
The "LAW" creates the "effect", which is the "motion" or "feel", with the "cause", which is the "intent" or "command".
"Lag" is the secret of golf, passion is the secret of life.

Rotate, twist, spin, turn. Bend the shaft.
