Slightly at impact my head is probably half a head's width further backwards and a bit lower than at address (fix). My hips however have gone miles forwards.
For me i think the root cause is dropping the club too far on the inside on the downstroke which means i get 'stuck' so the only way to get 'unstuck' is to lurch forwards with the hips. The move itself is probably correct it's just too much!!
Try downstroke waggles. Go as slow as possible without stopping. Try basic, acquired, and total motion all in slow motion from start to finish. It gives you time to get everything where you want it and coordinate the motions you want. Plus you have time to look, look, look.
Check out the video series with Jeff Hull when they go through the swing in slow motion. Pay close attention to exactly how much control Yoda has over his body(especially those hips). It does exactly what he wants it to do. Ben Hogan also does it in the home video.
