The reason you can't sustain the lag is because you are so eager to make the club move fast (a reaction to the intent of "hitting it far"). So on a full shot you throw it away too early, which doesn't happen for your short chip. (bts)

On the Range at the LPGA Championship
Hmmmm......watched Suzann warm-up before her final round at the LPGA Championship....I managed the range for the LPGA this week. As I was talking to two Bulle Rock staff while watching Suzann warm-up.....I heard this voice to the left of me.....it sounded like Nick Faldo....hmmm....turned to my left and sure enough it was two times British Open and 3 time Masters champion Nick Faldo....boy, that was a surprise (didn't know he was in the broadcast booth for the tournament). He was up on the range checking out the swings of Suzann Pettersen and 3rd round leader Na On Min. Na has an very powerful swing....we should see more good rounds from Na in addition to Suzann this year. Excellent finish at the LPGA Championship.....the 18th at Bulle Rock is an awesome final hole. If you're ever in the area (Havre de Grace, Maryland) I highly recommend spending the money to play this outstanding public golf course (5 star rating).

Thanks for the comments folks,

DG,

I guess you noticed that Suzann doesn't have a quiet right hand during the backswing. I wonder what effect that has on her ball striking.

I believe it was at the Nabisco that I thought Suzann looked like a Tomasello swinger. Doesn't surprise me after reading John Jacobs "Practical Golf".
