The reason you can't sustain the lag is because you are so eager to make the club move fast (a reaction to the intent of "hitting it far"). So on a full shot you throw it away too early, which doesn't happen for your short chip. (bts)
Although we have never met...... i was rooting all the way from Canada. Way to go Jeff!! I was checking out your stats and your a shoe in for player of the year. Dude thats alot of birdies... i was just watchin the video of you and Lynn (and the cows) i hear you hit a frozen rope.. must roll the rock pretty well also.
Congrats Jeff -I was following on the internet but couldn't "watch "the last hole!
I was too nervous.
I am surprised though that you didn't hole your approach shot to the last hole-you've already set the precedent, did you miss-hit it or something?
Jeff called on his way home yesterday afternoon and filled me in on some of the details of his victory. These included a "90-foot bomb" for birdie on the 17th, which Luke List promptly topped. He will be posting the play-by-play as soon as he can. Stay tuned!

Neil,
After making a 90 foot putt at 17 I thought that an 8-iron from 151 into the wind to a tucked location would suffice after my fellow competitor hit it into the water. I guess if I had to......
