Martee, in response to your question, I probably had about 6-8 yards of carry over the bunker to get to the edge of the green, then another 15-20 feet to the pin. I agree that I didn't want to get cute, I just didn't know what to do with the bare lie. If I just had a little bit of grass to work with, I'd of hit a regular lob or pitch, but my lie was just hard dirt. If I chip it, I'm sure I'm going to run it off the green, but with no grass, I'm scared to thin a lob or pitch.

It's not a shot I have a lot, but it seems dead pan lies give me fits. I can tell you this much. I will not miss left on that approach shot again.
