Ah yesssss.... and it's a game that's interfered with more than one relationship I've had.... for many of these reasons.
I've quit trying to explain why I love this game to those that don't play it.
But what about those things that burst your bubble???
I was having a nice even par round today until I got to the #8 tee box.
The house next to the box was blaring Shad'e or however her name is spelled and the dude that owns the house had his two labs in the yard barking up a storm. He was flat on his back soaking up rays next to his pool.

Oh yeah...no neoprene iron covers...no 30 foot ball retrievers...no luminous green balls...I miss metal spikes...no frikkin' cell phones...don't mark your ball with a tee...or a manhole cover...dude, you got 288...lay up! The reason you can't sustain the lag is because you are so eager to make the club move fast (a reaction to the intent of "hitting it far"). So on a full shot you throw it away too early, which doesn't happen for your short chip. (bts)
