Lynn showed the St. Augustine Workshop attendees two golf gloves of his - one that he used only to Hit and one that he used only to Swing. The Hitting glove was worn out in the area you are describing on the left thumb. The Swinging glove, I believe, was worn on the left heel pad.
Are you Hitting? If not, is your left thumb too "on top" of the grip instead of on the aft side?
