This statement - "Those misinformed talking heads need a copy of Alignment Golf so they can not only educate their hands, but educate their brains as well " - is the most poignantly insightful statement that I have read in a long time.

This is my first post after "lurking" on the forum for two years. I have watched Alignment Golf half a dozen times and intend to review it again this week.

This March I played HarbourTown for the first time and loved the course. As a result, I was more interested in the Verizon Heritage than any non major tourney.

It was a delight to see Brian Gay put on a clinic on how to play golf, precision and near perfection.

Congratulations to Brian Gay and Lynn Blake.

For those of you who subscribe to Golf World and receive the 'Forward Spin" each week in your email, there is a very nice article by Bob Verdi about Brian's win---and also some interesting behind-the-scenes info about his wife arranging for 35 of his friends to show up for the final round. I have never met Brian or his wife, but all of the things I have read in this article and others seem to indicate they are pretty cool and well-grounded. Always nice to see a good guy win.

Proof Positive
"Why trust instinct when there is a science. The instructor can only inform and explain - the student must absorb and apply."

Congratulations to both Brian and Lynn and may it continue to educate all that watch.

Great job men!

Party of Three
Got a text from Bill Castner offering his congratulations on Brian's victory. Known on this site as BCGolf, Bill is the newly-appointed Director of Instruction at the West Nine at the venerable Plainfield CC (NJ). It is a prestigious achievement for a PGA of America Master Professional, and we here at LBG are proud of him.

Here's a shot of Bill, me and Bucket at Brian's party . . . with Bucket wearing his normal expression!

If you'll look closely at this pic you'll notice a front end loading washer in the background . . . . the reason for my cheezee expression is I was trying to lay cover for Ted and Jeffy who were in the laundry room sniffing stuff in the dirty clothes hamper. My usual signal for trouble on the horizon is the patented Gomer Pyle "Hoootie hoooo". But this wasn't appropriate at this affair. So the signal was "if you see Bucket at the raw fish table . . . . abort mission!!!" I sir am a team player.

Wow Bucket, I thought you were like 80 years old! I guess this means you really exist if there's a photograph!

Congrats Lynn!
Lynn,

I've been out of the country for the past 2 weeks so I'm a bit late in writing this. Congratulations my friend! I'm very happy for Brian's amazing performnace this week and proud of your role in helping him with his swing.

Since we first met in 2004 I knew this was going to happen. I knew it, knew it, knew it! Very happy to see you getting recognition in the national media as well. I hope your phone lines are buring down!

-Trig
