Well how closed must one setup? Seems this is something that must be hard to do consistently. I would much prefer having the face of the club aligned square to my target line. Is this a no go for hitting?
This is why a hitter on tour, Fuyrk, plays with driver heads that are anywhere from 2-3* closed. He doesn't have to close it, he just lets the club sit naturally and its already closed for him.
I'd suggest if you are going to HIT with your driver you experiment with different closed face drivers. If you are going to SWING you are going to hook it.
