Connected with BG and family on the way to dinner. He's into the early East Coast wake-up and wants to tee it up near 8 AM.



We're off together to the near-by Planatation Course around 6:45AM.

What a way to spend a day!

Jerry and I were going to hit balls at the dome today and work some basic motion with our Taly's. We are canceling because it's 10 freaking degrees below zero, with a wind chill of 22 below! When it's this cold, they can't get enough heat into the domes to be comfortable. Maybe I'll drive to Hawaii.

Off the course and back at the hotel. Had lunch with BG and Bob Vokey. [Yes, the Bob Vokey. ]. Lots of 'groove' talk and coping strategies, e.g., more bounce, more offset and less loft. Tons of photographs and will post later today.

If he answers straight away, ask him whop was the first guy to win with one in his bag!!

Got your question late, GP. I was at the Plantation Course this morning; then, with the guys at Kapalua Golf Academy the rest of the day.

Got some great stuff coming -- Ryan Moore, Stewart Cink, Steve Stricker and Jerry Kelley -- in conjunction with the Golf Digest annual shoots from this location. Meanwhile, to your question . . .

Vok leaves Maui tomorrow, and I've got a full day planned at Kapalua Golf Academy. So, no way for a Plantation Course meeting. But, he'll be on Oahu at the Sony, and we've already talked about spending time there. I'll shoot your questions to him then!
