I assume the Angle of Approach line is the line drawn on 2-dimensional space (i.e., ground), which connects the impact point and the low point. As a hitter, do I need to trace this line with pp#3 or just cover with the club head or both?

Thanks,
DK

Trace or Cover
DK

You can choose to trace or cover the plane line. But you can not do both at the same time. Tracing and Covering are mutually exclusive because when you visually cover the plane line with the club head the shaft will not point at the plane line. It will point inside the line.

Covering is beneficial to a Hitter. Tracing is beneficial to the Swinger. I would try both.

Swinging (Tracing) and Hitting (Covering) will also give the #3 Pressure Point a different feel. When Hitting the #3 feels like it stays behind the shaft. When Swinging the #3 feels like it moves to the side.

Atleast, that is my understanding. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply BC.

According to one of the Yoda's posts (the link below), right forearm and pp#3 always trace either the plane line or the angle of approach line.

If one traces the plane line with pp#3, then clubhead also traces the plane line automatically; that is my understanding from the post. My confusion is that if I trace the AoA line with a right forearm (not pp#3?), will the clubhead automatically cover the AoA line?

Or is my understanding wrong?

Thanks,
DK

Edit: According to this post, it seems a right forearm, not pp#3, needs to trace the AoA line.
