Got it now
Thanks guys for your help and again sorry for hijacking the thread.

I found after more trial and error that even though i had the piece of 4 x 2 outside of the target line i was still managing to swing slightly (ever so slightly) outside in. I moved the timber even closer and i started hitting it on the way down again (timber placed so the clubhead only has just enough room to get through).

Swinging more out to right field and the ball is now heading dead on target.

Thanks again

He is also saying that you can use weak single action if you want. It just won't have the strong impact deceleration prevention that the strong single action grip has.
Upon further Study, Study and study and reflection, I conclude that what HK expressed is exactly what he meant. In a strong single action grip the left wrist is still vertical, and the left thumb is separated (spread) from the forefinger and placed in line with the #3 pressure point on the aft side of the shaft. The left wrist (hence, hand) is not turned to allow the left thumb to seat comfortably on the aft side. (This is what Mathew had said in a previous post)
