gallery problems
I can't view the videos anymore. Do I have to set my PC/quicktime/mediaplayer in any special way?
Help needed, I need a fix

Thom, Are you getting any error messages? I tested out a couple videos this morning and had no problems.

I agree
I have had minimal success with videos since the new and improved site emerged. I reckon it is because I am still
on a dial up connection.

You are correct, dial-up doesn't lend itself well to downloading or streaming video. We do our best to prepare movies in a format that strikes a balance between quality and download size. I'd ask you the same question as I asked Thom. What type of errors are you getting? Does it happen on every video?

Certain videos I can watch while others come up with a error message which says, "A Codec has not been installed"

I managed to view the "drag your mob"-video, but then I tried "Yoda of Arabia" and got this:
Windows Media Player Error Message Help
You've encountered error message C00D11B3 while using Windows Media Player. The following information might help you troubleshoot the issue.
Encountered a network error
Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the Player encountered a network error. You might encounter this error message for one of the following reasons:
The server is not available (for example, the server is busy or not online). Try again later.
You are not connected to the local area network (LAN) or to the Internet. Connect to the network or Internet, and then try again.
The proxy server settings for the Player are not configured properly. Verify that your proxy settings are correct, and then try again.
If you are using your computer at work, your network administrator might be blocking digital media streams from particular Web sites. For more information, contact your network administrator.
To verify your proxy server settings
On the Tools menu, click Options, click the Network tab, and then verify your settings in the Streaming proxy settings area.
Notes
If you do not know what your proxy server settings should be, on the Network tab, select a protocol, click Configure, and then select Autodetect proxy settings or Use proxy settings of the Web browser (available for HTTP protocol only).
If you are connected to the Internet through a dial-up connection, you might not be able to choose the proxy server. For more information, consult your Internet service provider (ISP) or network administrator.

Thom (and others),
If an internet connection isn't fast enough or stable enough to handle a video stream, then it's possible for errors like this to show up. To rule out this problem, could you right click on the video link in the gallery and choose "save target as..." and save the video to your computer. If you're able to open the saved video then your internet connection may be the problem.
Let me know how this test goes.
Later...

?
Ok, I was able to save and open the video.
I don't know, everything starts to work very slow when i go to the gallery. Icons for the different videos takes several minuttes to load/show.
I'll contact the cablecompany. I'm supposed to have a 2 Mb connection, but it's loading 100 K/s.
I have problems with Brian Manzellas videoanswers as well. Sound is very strange.
And Powerdraw, are you working on your postcount or just being a m....
