Shoulder Turn & Hip Slant
Discuss the relationships, and/or the effects of matching various Hip Slants with the various Shoulder Turns.

Good point!!
Shoulder Turns in TGM concern Flat, On Plane, Rotated. The Torso is related. For example, the players that have so called slice of "pie" at the Top have a different torso position, than those that do not, as advocated by the Stack and Tilt. The Stack and Tilt guys like a Zero Pie, with a steady head at the Top... which looks like 9-1-6.
These types of things along with matching the hip slants, which is mostly controlled by the Knees... is what I am talking about. More detailed Zone 1 info.

This head stays pretty centered and the hips go WAY right and knee stays bent spine tilts left. . .
So the hips can move in both directions and/or slant or stay level and the spine must bend in order to accomodate a steady head or vicey versey . . . you just gotta figure out what works best for you. Colin is different than Badds is different than VJ Trolio is different than Nicklaus is different than Hogan etc. etc. And the resulting pitch of the shoulder and how the arms match up to that is a different story.
Hips go forward and waist bend goes away and is replaced but the spine bending to the side . . . stand up straight and bend your spine to the side, scratch your lower thigh just above your knees then turn . . . that's what kinda happens.
Or if you don't push your hips forward and get out of the waist bend you got this look . . .

Beautiful Pivot. Hip Action. It seems that most Pro’s today have opted for a softer, less active, motion only type Pivot.
Thanks for the pics.
